PTCL has Shown Interest to Buy Telenor Pakistan

The rumors about Telenor quiting Pakistani market are deemed true so far.
The sources confirmed that PTCL group the parent company of Ufone has shown its
interest to acquire management rights in Telenor Pakistan.

Previously, Telenor CEO has revealed that they are looking for potential
merger opportunities in Pakistan. The move is the part of strategic shift in
Telenor’s policy focus from Asian markets to European markets.

Keeping in view, the previous history of Warid & Mobilink (Jazz) Merger,
where share based arrangements were made against the financial consideration. A
hybrid type of arrangements are expected between PTCL and Telenor to finalise
the financial consideration.

Telenor had previously sold out its operations in India, Indonesia and
Myanmar. This is a developing story, we will share the update with you as it
happen.

PTCLs has also written a letter to Pakistan Stock Exchange related to potential investment in telecom Sector.
